  • 8 ounces manicotti shells
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 26 ounces of pasta sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Boil lightly salted water in a large pot. Cook the manicotti shells for 8 to 10 minutes until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of shredded mozzarella, ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, egg, and dried basil. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stuff each cooked manicotti shell with the cheese filling using a spoon or piping bag.
  5. Spread about 2 cups of pasta sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange stuffed manicotti shells on top and cover with remaining sauce and any extra mozzarella.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
