  • 1 lb Ground Beef (or ground turkey, chicken, or plant-based meat)
  • 1 Onion
  • 8 oz Mushrooms
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 6 oz Swiss Cheese
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 4 pieces Hamburger Buns
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in beef broth, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard; let simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in sour cream and half of the Swiss cheese until well combined.
  6. Tear hamburger buns into pieces; layer half on the bottom of a baking dish. Pour meat mixture over buns; top with remaining bun pieces.
  7. Sprinkle remaining Swiss cheese on top and bake for about 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
