  • 1.5 lb Fresh Spinach
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 4 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Green Onion (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds (crushed)
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 0.5 tbsp Korean Red Chili Flakes
  • 0.5 tbsp Korean Chili Paste

Instructions

  1. Cut off the stems from fresh spinach and rinse thoroughly.
  2. Blanch the spinach in boiling water with salt for 30 seconds, then cool immediately under cold water.
  3. Squeeze excess water from the spinach and cut into manageable pieces.
  4. For savory flavor: Mix minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, half chopped green onion, and sesame seeds; add spinach and mix well.
  5. For spicy flavor: Combine minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, remaining green onion, sesame seeds, chili flakes, chili paste, and sugar; mix with spinach until coated.
