  • 16 oz spiral noodles
  • 25 oz bag breaded chicken strips
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3/4 cup colby jack cheese
  • 23 cloves minced garlic
  • chopped fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bake or fry the chicken strips as directed on the package; set aside.
  2. Cook spiral noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, pineapple juice, lemon juice, vinegar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil over medium heat; then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened.
  4. In a large pan over medium heat, melt butter with heavy cream. Gradually stir in parmesan, mozzarella, and colby jack cheeses until melted and smooth. Incorporate minced garlic.
  5. Combine cooked pasta with cheese sauce until well coated. Dip each chicken strip in the honey pepper sauce and place on top of the pasta before serving.
