  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Add the water and bring to a boil; then reduce heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
  4. If desired, stir in fresh basil before serving over cooked spaghetti noodles.
