  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (less if you prefer)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • Extra Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, egg, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and lukewarm water. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 15 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  5. Serve with marinara sauce and extra Parmesan cheese.
