  • 1 large boneless skinless chicken breast
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 ¼ cups half-and-half
  • ¾ cups chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ lb pasta (any type)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: Vegetables like spinach or mushrooms, and various seasonings such as onion powder, garlic salt, oregano, basil, mustard powder, parsley, and smoked paprika.

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in flour to create a roux. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth.
  3. Slowly add half-and-half and mix well before adding grated cheeses until melted.
  4. Cook your chosen pasta according to package instructions; drain and toss into the creamy sauce.
  5. Slice the cooked chicken and place it on top of the pasta before serving.
