  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 oz penne or fettuccine pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley and lemon juice for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté chicken until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes per side). Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds), then stir in remaining Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer until slightly thickened (about 3–5 minutes). Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Slice cooked chicken and add to the skillet along with drained pasta. Toss everything together until well combined.
